The star Argentine playmaker Lionel Messi did not turn up to take the Bronze medal in the Copa America. In the match between Chile and Argentina, Messi was shown a direct red card. Accoding to the player, it was not an offence to show a red card. He also bashed CONMEBOL in the post match interview.

Accoding to Messi, CONMEBOL are favouring Brazil to win the tournament. In the match against Brazil, some decisions of the referee did not go in the favour of Argentina. The star Argentine player also called CONMEBOL a corrupt organization. In the third place deciding match, both Gary Medel and Lionel Messi were shown direct reds following a shoulder push.

However, these comments from a player like Lionel Messi is not acceptable. CONMEBOL officially released a statement after these disgraceful comments of Messi. They stated that the players must respect the game which they are playing. The referees are also human beings; there can be some mistakes. But these sorts of comments are not acceptable.

Accoding to the sources, the star Argentine player might face a ban for two years following his disgraceful comments. Though there is still no any official confirmation of this news.
