Because of the ongoing tension between India and Pakistan, the tenth season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) has been moved to the United Arab Emirates. Originally scheduled for Rawalpindi, Multan, and Lahore, the final eight games have been moved.

It all began when the match between Karachi Kings and Peshawar Zalmi in Rawalpindi on Thursday, May 8, was postponed because of the continuous tensions along the Indian-Pakistani border. Following discussions between the PSL stakeholders and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), the decision was made to move the event.

The updated schedule, which is anticipated to be released shortly, has not yet been announced by the PCB.

Board chairman Mohsin Naqvi said the decision was “to ensure the mental well-being of all players participating.”

“Like in the past, we hope that our stakeholders will rally with us to further the best interests of the tournament, our players and the fans. We are committed to ensuring that the league continues to thrive,” he added.
