Kuldeep Yadav recently had come into the limelight for his comments regarding former Indian skipper MS Dhoni. It was reported that the left-arm spinner spoke about Dhoni’s tips from behind the stumps not always clicking or proving to be successful, however, it is not easy to tell the same to the wicket-keeper. Those comments sparked several debates as MS Dhoni is considered to have one of the best cricketing brains. Kuldeep’s comments were as follows:
“There are a lot of times he (Dhoni) goes wrong but then you can’t say that to him,” Kuldeep was quoted as saying. “Zyada baat nahi karte woh (he doesn’t speak much). He speaks only between overs if he thinks he needs to point out something,”
Kuldeep has often credited Dhoni for his performances in the limited overs format and Dhoni’s presence behind the stumps has always proved to be fruitful especially for the spinners.
Soon after Yadav’s comments creating a lot of buzz, he responded by lashing out on the media as his comments were blown out of proportion. Kuldeep put up a post on social media in reference to this matter,
“Here we go for another made up controversies by our media who loves to make tangy rumours for no reason. Just want to throw some light on the issue that has been proliferated by some people, that the news is totally false. I didn’t give any inappropriate statement about anyone. #Much respect Mahi bhai,”
Dhoni and Yadav will be sharing the dressing room once again as India kick-start their World Cup campaign. Dhoni who led the Chennai Superkings into the final of the IPL looked in sublime touch with the bat as well as with his glovework. On the other hand, Yadav had a dismal start to his IPL and struggled to even make it into the playing XI for Kolkata Knight Riders in the second half of the tournament.
