According to the former Indian player Kris Srikkanth, Khaleel Ahmed is still not ready for the highest level of International Cricket. The fast bowler from Rajasthan was awful in the first two T20 matches against Bangladesh. The young Indian pacer took one wicket in each match. However, he conceded 44 and 37 runs in 4 overs in the respective matches.
Khaleel Ahmed has been getting the backup of the team management despite getting thrashed in every match. However, in the third T20 match his figures were much better than the previous two occasions. However, he was unable to pick up any wicket in this match conceding just 27 runs.
The team management is trying to give opportunities to the new players as there are still few places up for the youngsters to grab. The T20 World Cup is going to take place in Australia next year. Ahead of that, the batting of India is looking more or less sorted. However, the bowling is still a concern for the team management. The young bowlers have failed to make an impressive impact in the game except Deepak Chahar. The young fast bowlers has taken 6 wickets with conceding just 7 runs in the last T20 match against Bangladesh.
