KKR vs SRH: The all-important Qualifier 1 of IPL 2024 kickstarted with an absolute peach of a delivery from the Australian quick Mitchell Starc bamboozling his counterpart Travis Head’s defence on the 2nd ball of the innings. This is the second consecutive nought for the dashing opener and interestingly both the dismissals have come in a similar fashion.
Soon after Abhishek Sharma too turned back to the pavilion off Vaibhav Arora’s bowling, trying to clear the infield, but went to Andre Russel at short extra cover.

KKR vs SRH: Mitchell Starc wreaks havoc
KKR Skipper Shreyas Iyer backed Starc to continue with another over in the powerplay and the decision reaped rewards. Starc picked two more wickets in his 3rd by dismissing both Nitish and Shahbaz on the final two deliveries. With this SRH was put on the back foot by the Purple Team.
Starc could have got Rahul Tripathi in his 2nd over, but Iyer was not interested in reviewing the LBW call.
At the end of Powerplay SRH is in a spot of bother with 45/4. With very little batting left, KKR would like to cash on the momentum to close down the game with the spin duo of Sunil Narine and Varun Chakravarthy.
