Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) pacer David Willey has rattled through the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) batsmen. Willey first bowled out the left handed batsman Venkatesh Iyer to tally RCB’s first wicket.

Next up, Mandeep Singh got dismissed after Willey gets the ball to kiss off the off stump. From over the wicket, with the wobble seam delivery, the RCB pacer managed to rack a couple of wickets. However, his hat-trick was denied by Nitish Rana.

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are hosting Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at Kolkata’s Eden Gardens. KKR has been hit by injuries and the unavailability of key players have been major blow. They started their campaign with a seven-run defeat via the D/L method against Punjab Kings at Mohali.

Nitish Rana is leading the side after regular skipper Shreyas Iyer was ruled out due to injury and another blow jolted the side when Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan pulled out because of family reasons. The KKR co-owner Shah Rukh Khan is expected to be in attendance today when the team return to their home ground after 1,438 days. They last played at Eden Gardens on April 28, 2019 — a 34-run win over Mumbai Indians before the pandemic hit the world.
