Kidambi Srikant signs a 35 crore deal with chinese Brand Li-Ning

Indian badminton star and former world No. 1 Kidambi Srikant has signed a four-year ₹35 core deal with Chinese sporting good manufacturing giant Li-Ning. The deal includes sponsorship and equipment supply.

Li-Ning has been the official sponsor for several Asian countries and they were also the official sponsor for 2018 Asian Games which took place in Jakarta, Indonesia. Li-Ning is also currently Team India’s official apparel partner till the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.

Srikant’s recent contract of  ₹ 8.75 crores with Li-Ning makes it the second largest yearly endorsement contract offered to Indian player. Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli still has the largest brand endorsement deals which earn him close to ₹ 13.75 crores per annum.

Srikanth is among the top Badminton players in the world & already the most accomplished Indian male badminton player & a World No1 player. Li Ning stands for quality & consistency and Srikanth fits the bill perfectly. We want to play our part in helping Srikanth achieve a lot more going forward,” said Mahender Kapoor, director of Sunlight Sports.

Kidambi Srikant was also excited about the endorsement deals, he said, “I am honoured to be the face of Li Ning in India & globally. I love their products & I’m really looking forward to stepping on the court with a renewed vigour to accomplish a few more goals that I have set for myself & keep bring laurels for my country.
