The club management of Real Madrid have made it clear that Thibaut Courtois will be the first choice Goalkeeper of the Los Blancos in the next season. So, the last match of Real Madrid in La Liga is going to be the last match of the Costa Rican Goalkeeper Keylor Navas for the Spanish side.
Keylor Navas has been the part of four Champions League winning squad of Real Madrid in recent years. His contribution for Real Madrid in the elite competition of Europe is certainly commendable. The club management of Real Madrid have brought in Thibaut Courtois from Chelsea in the previous summer transfer window with a transfer fee worth £35 million.
Thibaut Courtois was expected to be the first choice Goalkeeper of Real Madrid from the beginning of this season. However, some poor performance of Thibaut Courtois in the first half of the season handed back the chance to Keylor Navas again.
However, the manager of Real Madrid, Zinedine Zidane does not want any confusion in the Goalkeeping position in the next season. The son of Zinedine Zidane will also be there as the backup of Thibaut Courtois. So, it might just be the end of Keylor Navas’ playing career at Real Madrid.
