Kedar Jadhav has been cleared to play at the ICC world cup 2019 which will take place in England and Wales from 30th May 2019.

There were initial doubts after Jadhav suffered an injury during a match against Kings XI Punjab earlier this month. Jadhav who plays for Chennai Super Kings missed the playoffs because of the injury.

Even though Team India had already released it’s World Cup squad, as per the ICC rules, team India could have made changes to till May 23 and had Jadhav not recovered fully, there were extremely great chances of Rishabh Pant replacing him.

However, after the injury, Jadhav spent time with Indian physio Patrick Farhart and was spending time recovering. He was later cleared in a fitness test conducted in Mumbai last Thursday.

Kedar’s injury was not a serious one and he has fully recovered now. All 15 players who were picked in the squad are travelling to the UK,” a team source said.

The last season of Indian Premier League was extremely disappointing for Rishabh Pant who only managed to score 162 runs in 12 innings.

Kedar Jadhav has also played 59 ODIs for India since making his debut in 2014 and scored 1174 runs with an average of 43.48. He has also scored two centuries and five half-centuries. He has also taken 27 wickets at 34.70.
