Jyothi Yarraji Clinches 100m Hurdles Gold At Federation Cup

Jyothi Yarraji hit two birds with one stone- as she not only won the gold in the women’s 100m hurdles event at the National Federation Cup Athletics Championships at the Birsa Munda Stadium in Ranchi, but she also bested her own personal best at the event on Wednesday.

Having an earlier event record of 13.18 seconds which she set during the heat on Tuesday, Jyothi clocked 12.89 seconds at the Federation Cup en route to her 100m gold, which is just 0.07 seconds short of her own National Record of 12.82 seconds which she set at the National Open Athletics Championship in Bengaluru last year.

The second and third place finishes went to Tamil Nadu’s R. Nithya Ramraj S. and second with while Jharkhand’s Sapna Kumari, who clinched the silver and bronze with 13.44 seconds and 13.58 seconds respectively.
