According to reports by Sky in Italy, Juventus have agreed to loan off striker Gonzalo Higuain to Chelsea until the end of the season.
Subject to certain stipulations, the loan could then be extended for another 12 months.
Higuain has been on loan at AC Milan from Juventus since the start of the season, with an option to buy at the end of the season.
With Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud being nowhere near their best form, Chelsea coach Maurizio Sarri was hell-bent on bringing Gonzalo Higuain to Stamford Bridge who managed the player for one season during their tenure at Napoli.
Initially, Milan’s coach Gennaro Gattuso affirmed that Higuain was keen to leave San Siro and head to greener pastures citing, “when a player makes up his mind it becomes hard to convince them otherwise”.
However, he has backtracked on his statements regarding Higuain’s wish to leave the club and now has stated that the Argentine forward did not express any such desire to him, despite his continuous links out of Italy.
