JSW Group Celebrates India’s 100 Years of Olympic Legacy with an Exhibition in Paris

The JSW Group marked Olympic Day with the inauguration of a special exhibition in Paris. This exhibition celebrates the life and legacy of Pierre de Coubertin, the visionary founder of the Olympic Movement, while also commemorating 100 years of India’s presence at the Olympic Games.

JSW Group’s exhibition in Paris ahead of the Olympics

The exhibition was inaugurated in the host city of Paris at the Town Hall of the 7th Arrondissement. It will run until the end of the Paris 2024 Summer Paralympic Games in September.

Sangita Jindal, Chairperson of JSW Foundation, and Parth Jindal, Founder of the Inspire Institute of Sport, were present. Other notable attendees included IOC President Thomas Bach, Minister of Culture Madame Rachida Dati, and Ambassador of India to France Jawed Ashraf. The President of the Pierre de Coubertin Family Association, Mrs. Alexandra de Navacelle, also graced the occasion.

The exhibition, in collaboration with the Pierre de Coubertin Family Association, provides a detailed walkthrough of India’s Olympic journey over the last century. It highlights India’s past successes and recent resurgence, emphasizing its role in the global sporting arena. The exhibition aligns with Pierre de Coubertin’s vision that sports can transcend borders, fostering peace and friendship among nations.
