However, it would take place in the UAE instead of India and now keeping the high risk of COVID-19 pandemic lingering across the country in mind. Josh Hazlewood, who was bought by three-time champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK), hopes to have great games with the captain, MS Dhoni.

Josh Hazlewood was earlier a part of the Mumbai Indian squad but remained out of action owing to his injuries. Despite considered as the Test specialist, the 28-year old has tasted a lot of success in limited-overs too. However, he last featured in T20 international way back in 2016 and now he would look forward to working on his skills under the three-time IPL winning captain.

Josh Hazlewood depends on his accuracy and precision while taking wickets instead of pace. In T20 cricket so far, the Australian speedster has 42 wickets in 35 games at 24.11, having an economy rate of 7.11.

Looking forward to playing alongside former India captain MS Dhoni, Josh Hazlewood expressed his excitement and said that the former Indian captain and he is similar. Hazlewood shared that like MS Dhoni, he also likes to play his game with a calm and composed way. However, the 13th edition of the IPL will start on the 19th of September while the final will take place on the 9th of November.

“Again, I am excited! I think he is a pretty similar player to me – very relaxed and calm – and that’s how I play my best cricket, that’s when I enjoy my cricket. Hopefully, we are a good match,” Josh Hazlewood told Wion in an interview.
