Chelsea midfielder Jorginho is ‘ready to quit’ after just one year at Stamford Bridge, to reunite with Maurizio Sarri, who is on his way to Juventus this summer, as claimed by his agent Joao Santos.
The Italian left Naples for West London last summer to join Sarri for £52 million, but his performance was underwhelming in his debut campaign.
As Sarri’s departure was confirmed by The Blues last week, the 27-year old expresses his wish to re-join his mentor again in Italy.
Jorginho’s international’s agent Joao Santos, has confirmed that the player has shown interest in a reunion.
“Chelsea have a four-year contract with the lad. We’ll wait a few days to figure out whether there is any truth in this interest” Santos said.
“His past at Napoli won’t be an issue, because Jorginho is a professional.”
“Right now, Jorginho is happy at Chelsea. He found a great atmosphere and we can’t really say that he’d like to go elsewhere, but anything can happen on the transfer market. We’ll wait and see…” he told Tuttomercatoweb.
Already losing Hazard to Real, and Barcelona and Atletico Madrid’s interest in Willian Jorginho’s move away from the club could turn out to be problematic for the new boss Lampard, as the club is on a contract ban and won’t be able to sign a replacement for the Italian.
