Bayern Munich star James Rodriguez’s father-in-law Hernan Ospina claims his son-in-law would like a move to Serie A side SSC Napoli, amidst doubts surrounding his future in the German capital, with the forward yearning for a return to parent club Real Madrid, from which he is out on loan in the Bundesliga.

Rodriguez joined Bayern on a 2-year long loan from Real Madrid at the beginning of the 2017-18 season. The Columbian has so far been monumental in the Bavarians’ success, winning the Bundesliga in his very first season. However, having entered the final two months of his loan spell in Germany, the forward wants out of the club, and though he has cited his wish for a return to the Spanish capital in the summer, the La Liga side deem the former FC Porto player a surplus addition to Zidane’s new plans.

Making news is the Columbia international’s father-in-law Hernan Ospina, who claims that Rodriguez would like a move to Napoli in the summer. And a reunion with present Napoli boss Carlo Ancelotti, who managed the then 22-year old winger during his time with the Los Blancos, is surely on the paper.

Ospina told Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli:

“My daughter Daniela told me that he has a great relationship with Carlo Ancelotti and would be happy to reunite with him.

“I think he would one day like to play in Italy and of course at a big club like Napoli. All Colombian players would like to have an experience in Serie A,” Ospina added.
