Goa’s Ishan Pandita equalizes Rowllin Borges’ strike for Mumbai
Sitting comfortably at the top of the league table, Mumbai FC entered in confidence to sweep up three points from FC Goa, who are fighting it out in the mid table.
Hugo Boumous opened up the scoreline for Mumbai in the 20th minute, followed by a second strike from Adam le Fondre that put Mumbai to a two goal lead within half an hour.
However, just before the half time whistle, Goa got back into the game with their first goal from Glan Martins, and six minutes into the second half when Igor Angulo put one past Amrinder Singh to make things even.
However, the drama started in the final minutes, as Borges struck a probable late winner for Mumbai in the 90th minute, as the game progressed into injury time.
Strikingly, it was Goa’s midfielder Ishan Pandita, who was subbed in for Gama in the injury time, equalized with just moments before the final whistle to save his team one point as well as a defeat.
