Bengaluru FC got a comfortable 2-0 win over SC East Bengal in Indian Super League (ISL) on Tuesday at Tilak Maidan.
Bengaluru FC gets three points in ISL
Early in the match, SC East Bengal’s Bright supplied a low cross across. But just when forward Harmanpreet Singh tried to get to the ball, Ajith Kumar saved the day for Bengaluru FC as he came up with a brilliant tackle.
It was in the 11th minute, Bengaluru FC were up by a goal. It was a free-kick from the other half. Sunil Chhetri overpowered SC East Bengal defender Scott Neville and headed the ball towards Cleiton Silva, who took a great first touch and found the back of the net with his left footed strike.
Bengaluru FC were lucky to register their insurance goal. Rahul Bheke received an amazing through-ball on the right wing. He took a few steps forward and sent a cross towards Srivas in the middle.
He fired a shot to beat SC East Bengal goalkeeper Debjit Majumder. The ball hit the post, bounced off Debjit and went into goal, thus scoring an own goal which gave a two goal advantage for Bengaluru FC.
