It was the Bengaluru FC skipper Sunil Chhetri who scored the breakthrough goal for his team in the opening ten minutes of the game. Cleiton Silva took a free-kick from the left flank and his delivery into the box was perfectly done.

Chhetri went past his marker with his run and leapt above the rest to come up with a brilliant header and sloted the ball into the back of the net.

Hyderabad FC got a great chance when Aridane Santana found himself in a one-on-one with goalkeeper Gurpreet Singh, but his attempt went wide.

In the dying minutes of the first half Hyderabad FC on the break saw Mishra send the ball to Liston Colaco who handed it back to the former. Mishra then got into the box and whipped in a great cross towards Halicharan Narzary. But, he failed to score as he missed the open goal from just a few inches out.

Leon Augustin gives Bengaluru a 2-goal advantage

Hitesh Sharma misplaced a pass and Bengaluru’s Augustin rushed towards the ball. He ran forward and was in an one-on-one with Hyderabad FC goalkeeper Laxmikant Kattimani. He used the outside of his right foot to find the back of the net and registered the insurance goal.

However, just when Bengaluru felt relieved with the scoreline, Hyderabad FC pulled one goal back in the 8st minute. From a counter-attack the super-sub Rohit Danu put in a brilliant cross from the right flank.

The ball went past all the defenders inside the box and reached Aridane Santana, who tapped it in past goalkeeper Gurpreet Singh.

Fran Sandaza scores the level-pegging goal

Fran Sandaza pulled off the party-spoiler as his goal helps Hyderabad get to the level terms and snatch a point away.
