ISL Match 68 Review: Kerala Blasters-FC Goa warp up into a 1-all tie


FC Goa and Kerala Blasters ended their clash in a 1-1 draw on Saturday at GMC Stadium.

FC Goa got a chance in the opening ten minutes of the match. Jorge Mendoza hit the woodwork from close range, not once but twice. Albino Gomes finally collected the ball. This was a result of a brilliant counter-attack by the hosts but was not fruitful.

FC Goa scored the opening goal in the 25th minute. They got a free-kick and Jorge Ortiz took it. His shot was deflected by Sahal Abdul Samad in the wall and Kerala Blasters goalkeeper Albino Gomes moved forward but the ball went past him into goal.

In the 56th minute Facundo Pereyra took a corner from the right flank. Rahul KP ran into the box from outside and leapt high to head the ball into the net. The FC Goa defence was very poor in the incident.
