ISL Match 61 Review: NorthEast United clinches 2-1 triumph over Jamshedpur FC


NorthEast United prevailed over Jamshedpur FC after the scoreline saw 2-1 in the Indian Super League (ISL) on Sunday at Tilak Maidan.

Jamshedpur FC has dominated possession early in the game. NorthEast United goalkeeper Subhasish Roy denied Jamshedpur striker Nerijus Valskis with his foot and the rebound fell generously to Jackichand Singh inside the box. He fired a shot but the ball went well over the crossbar.

NorthEast United got a chance when Idrissa Sylla set up his teammate Luis Machado on the left flank. Machado evaded an opposition player and got close to the box. But his cross attempt goes went out of play.

In the 36 minute, Federico Gallego sent in the ball from corner from the left. Ashutosh went past a few Jamshedpur defenders to sloted the ball home at the near post as Jamshedpur defended poorly.
