This meeting will see both the Indian FA and AFC discuss together to unveil the future roadmap for Indian football. There has been speculation in recent times that both I-League and ISL will be merged in the near future.

Kushal Das, the secretary of AIFF confirmed that they will consult AFC and come out with a roadmap which will be best for the nation.

“The AFC, in consultation with the AIFF, will give a presentation on what they think is the right structure for the future of Indian football.”

“The AFC, along with AIFF, will just present the roadmap. The clubs can (approve or deny) or they may not. The final decision will be with the AFC,” said Das.

Das also added that the meeting was part of their plan for a while now and AIFF are currently are in a need to find a solution for the same.

“We had to find a solution. It (the issue) has been going on for some time. We have been discussing this (the meeting) for a long time,” Das said.
