Kerala Blasters thumped Hyderabad with a two goal victory on Sunday in the Indian Super League(ISL) at GMC Stadium.

Kerala Blasters looked dominant in the early stages of the match having more possession of the ball and passing around well.

Around the 20 minutes mark Nishu dispatched a powerful strike from the edge of the box but goalkeeper Subrata Paul was there to deny the goal.

Hyderabad FC registered a chance Mohammed Yasir cut in from the right, going past his marker and delivered the ball to Aridane Santana was able to make a shot on goal from the edge of the box but got saved by goalkeeper Gomes.

Facundo Pereyra sent in an excellent corner-kick into the centre of the box and Hakku rose up to the occassion and slotted the ball into the net with a header to score the breakthrough goal.

Jordan Murray almost got the chance to get the insurance goal. He was delivered a cross into the box from the left flank but could not control the ball for a shot with his first touch and Hyderabad defenders well dealt with the situation.

Hyderabad went all-out attack looking for an equalising goal but just like the first half, failed to convert their chances.

In 80th minute, They got their golden opportunity but Halicharan Narzary miscued his shot. Receiving the ball on the left, the winger cut inside looking to find the far corner but his strike went over the bar.

However, their hopes of making any comeback were shattered when Murray sealed the game with a late goal in 88th minute.

Substitute Adil Khan failed to deal with a cross in the box Murray made no mistake and his shot went into the bottom corner of the net.

Kerala are ninth,  with 6 points in seven, are just three points off Hyderabad FC who are positioned at eight. Kerala will next face table-topping Mumbai City on Jan 2, Hyderabad will take on FC Goa on Dec 30.
