ISL 2018-19 : Pune City edge past Kerala Blasters with a solitary goal of Marcelinho


Pune City got an away win against Kerala Blasters on Friday to move to the eighth spot in the League Table. On the other hand, Kerala Blasters stayed at the seventh position in the League Table. Pune City collected 8 points from their 11 matches so far while Kerala Blasters are only one point ahead of them with the same number of matches played till date.

Pune City were desperate to win this match against Kerala Blasters. They have to win almost all matches to qualify to the playoffs. Sarthak Golui was booked in the first half. Marcelinho scored the first goal of the match at 20th minute. Muhammed Ashique Kuruniyan provided the ball towards Marcelinho who guided it to the Goal. Adil Khan was also booked in the first half for Pune City. The first half ended with a 1-0 scoreline in favour of the away side.


C.K. Vineeth came in place of Semilen Doungel in the second half of the match. Sahil Panwar was booked in the second half for Kerala Blasters. Marko Stankovic was also booked in the second half. Kerala Blasters created a lot of opportunities; but they failed to get the equaliser through out the 90 minutes in the match. Kerala Blasters remained winless at home in this season after this defeat against Pune City.
