FC Goa came from behind twice to win 3-2 against Delhi Dynamos in an entertaining encounter at the Fatorda Stadium on Thursday. Edu Bedia and Brandon Fernandes wrote their names in the scoresheet whereas Bikramjit Singh and Lallianzuala Chhangte found the back of the net for the visitors.

The visitors couldn’t have asked for a better start to the game as an unmarked Bikramjit Singh rocketed the ball towards the back of the net from the edge of the penalty box at the 6th minute. Delhi Dynamos looked confident in the remainder of the first half and could have extended the lead numerous times in the first half. However, they fumbled on the final third and the halftime scoreline remained 1-0.
As the two sides came from the tunnel, FC Goa regained their mojo and leveled things up at the 54th minute. Captain Mandar Rao Desai cut back from the left wing and Edu Bedia made no mistake in slotting the ball home. However, the captain was to take the blame at the 70th minute when he failed to mark Nandhakumar Sekar efficiently and the 22-year-old passed the ball towards Chhangte who again put Delhi on the front foot.
Substitute Brandon Fernandes restored the parity for the home side when his curler bounced right in front of Dorronsaro and went past him. It looked as if both the teams would walk away with a point, but Edu Bedia flicked in Hugo Boumous’ free kick at the 89th minute to ensure FC Goa bags all the three points.
With this win, FC Goa surge to the top of the table with 13 points, having played a game more than the second-placed Bengaluru FC. Delhi Dynamos, on the other hand, sit on the ninth position with 4 points, playing twice as many games.
