IPL2019: KKR Team Management’s bold decision

Kolkata Knightriders (KKR) in this season has fallen off the radar after a terrific start to the tournament. They were the table toppers after their first five games, having won four out of them. However, since then they have been on a losing streak as they lost 5 matches on the trot.

There is no room for any errors for the men in purple and gold now as they will have to win all of their remaining four games in order to qualify for the playoffs, which seems like a daunting task seeing the form and the mindset of their core team members such as their skipper Dinesh Karthik, Robin Uthappa and Kuldeep Yadav.

The KKR team management has taken a major step in order to change things up. They have released their skipper Dinesh Karthik and Robin Uthappa along with Nikhil Naik, Shrikant Mundhe and Prithviraj for a break so that they can come back with a fresher state of mind and get an off amidst such high-pressure situations.

Karthik and Uthappa in pursuit of finding their rhythm back have travelled to Mumbai in their day off and are training at the KKR Training camp in Mumbai with their mentor Abhishek Nayar.

Kolkata is all set to face Rajasthan Royals next on the 25th of April and they will be hoping that their senior players step up and keep their hopes alive going forward into the tournament.
