Former India bowlers Harbhajan Singh and Sreesanth are set to team up as they reunited for doing commentary for Star Sports in the 16th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. The tournament is set to begin on March 31, and fans are buzzing with anticipation.

Back in 2008, Harbhajan played for Mumbai Indians, whereas Sreesanth used to play for Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings). The duo shared a tumultuous relationship due to the infamous ‘slapgate’, when Harbhajan slapped Sreesanth after one of the IPL matches in 2008.

Both players also reportedly did not talk to each other for a long time after the incident. However, a recent video clip appears to show that both the former India bowlers have buried the controversy.

Star Sports, the official broadcaster of the tournament, released a video announcing Sreesanth, Harbhajan Singh, and Mohammad Kaif as part of the commentary team ahead of the 2023 IPL. The decision to team up Harbhajan Singh with Sreesanth has brought plenty of delight for the supporters of the game.

In the video released by Star Sports, Sreesanth was introduced by Harbhajan as the new commentator for the sports channel. Bhajji later added, “We have insights, I sometimes crack jokes and now we will have special dance performances from Sreesanth too.” He also asked fans to send their request for choice of dance performances they want from Sreesanth.

The upcoming edition of IPL is set to start on March 31 when Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings will lock horns at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
