Gujarat Titans (GT) picked up a huge win by 34 runs over Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the 62nd Match of IPL 2023. Titans have become the first team to enter IPL 2023 playoffsIt was a must-win clash for the Orange outfit but executed a season of torment for the visitors.

Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan went on to stitch a mammoth 147-run partnership for the second wicket that wreaked havoc on the SRH bowling unit. After the early fall of Wridhhiman Saha on the very third ball of the innings, Gill was joined in the middle by Sudharsan as the duo held its ground for 13.4 overs while unleashing 147 runs in the process.

Sudharsan returned with 47 runs in 36 balls, courtesy of six fours and a maximum. He was eventually dismissed by Marco Jansen after being caught off T. Natarajan in the 15th over.

However, Gill continued his dominance with the bat and went on to score a century off just 58 balls. He hit 13 fours and a solitary maximum to bring up his century. Gill eventually fell prey to Bhuvaneshwar Kumar, but not before imposing serious damage on the Hyderabad unit.

Gill and Sudharsan’s stand of 147 runs is the highest for the second wicket in the ongoing season of the tournament. While Gill and Sudharsan starred for GT with a stunning partnership, it was Bhuvneshwar Kumar for SRH who brought the team back into the game with a timely five-wicket haul. He also remained strong on the economic front, giving away just 30 runs in four overs. SRH were stopped at 154 for 9, thanks to four wickets each from Mohammed Shami and Mohit Sharma.
