The Indian Premier League(IPL) follows a strict COVID-19 bio-bubble protocol that helps avoid the infection to spread among the players. The Royal Challengers Bangalore(RCB) superstar Virat Kohli recently arrived at the RCB team hotel on Tuesday to join his team and enter the secure bio-bubble. It seems frustration is building up for Kohli as he wishes he was at home with his wife and daughter as the hotel is hardly 20 minutes from his home in Mumbai. But the strict bio-bubble restrictions refrain him from doing so.
Virat Kohli shares his thoughts on the matter
The 15th edition of the cash-rich tournament is set to commence on this weekend and ahead of the new season, all the players have entered the bio-bubble. Virat Kohli is quite helpless when it comes to being with his wife and daughter.
Talking about the quarantine period at the hotel and how difficult it is to spend time away from home, Kohli was featured on ‘RCB Bold Diaries.’ Here is what he said:
“I would have preferred not to be here (at the hotel). Because I’m in Bombay and the home’s literally 20 minutes from here and you can’t go home, you can’t do anything. But it is what it is. You just got to go through whatever shows you’re left with, catch up on a couple of shows, read a book which you’re still going on with, and a lot of video calls at home.”

Kohli had stepped down from the responsibilities of the RCB skipper as South African ace batter, Faf du Plessis was appointed as the new captain of the side.
IPL 2022 is set to begin on March 26 and RCB are set to play their first game of the campaign on March 27 against the Mayank Agarwal-led Punjab Kings.
