The final game of the first round of opening fixtures of the IPL 2022 will feature Sunrisers Hyderabad against the Rajasthan Royals. The contest will mark the first match at the MCA Stadium in Pune.
Sunrisers Hyderabad
The Orange Army embark upon a new era following the departures of David Warner and Rashid Khan. Continuing under the leadership of Kane Williamson, the side are on the quest for their second title after a disappointing bottom-placed finish in IPL 2021.
The franchise also saw the departures of mentor VVS Laxman and head coach Trevor Bayliss. A star-studded coaching staff sees the likes of Brian Lara and Dale Steyn step into leadership roles for the first time.

Arguably one of the better performers at the IPL 2022 mega auction, Rajasthan Royals have a formidable squad at their disposal.
Leading the franchise for the second season, the onus will be on Samson to lead this team to its potential.
The explosive batting unit would relish the opportunity to play in the batting-friendly conditions in Pune. Jos Buttler, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Devdutt Padikkal, Sanju Samson, and Shimron Hetmyer forge an intimidating batting unit.
