The highly-anticipated match-up between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Mumbai Indians (MI) went underway at the DY Patil Stadium. Mukesh Choudhary got CSK off to the perfect start with the wickets of both openers in the first over of the innings.
Electing to bowl first, CSK named two changes to their playing XI from the three-wicket loss to Gujarat Titans (GT).
The left-arm pacer began the innings with a lovely inswinger to the Hitman. What followed was a soft dismissal, where Rohit chipped the ball straight to mid-on, where Mitchell Santner took a good catch.
The MI skipper’s poor form continued with yet another poor score. He is yet to register a fifty in IPL 2022.
Mukesh Choudhary bettered his effort to pick the wicket of Ishan Kishan with a stunning delivery. The delivery, which swung away from the left-hander also held its line after pitching. It left Kishan bamboozled, who fell to his knees while trying to connect his bat with the ball. Watch both of the dismissals right below:

Despite a dropped catch by Ravindra Jadeja off Mitchell Santner’s bowling, CSK made quick amends. Mukesh Choudhary continued his dream spell with the wicket of Dewald Brevis to leave MI reeling at 15-3.
