Royal Challengers Banglore (RCB) are set to face table-toppers Gujarat Titans (GT) in their final and arguably the most important league encounter this year at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB)
RCB have everything to play for today as their fate for playoffs depends on it. RCB were consistent throughout the first half of the season but have lost their way towards the business end of the season. They not only have to win this encounter but have to pray that MI beats DC in their match as RCB’s NRR is the worst among the probables.
Bangalore’s main problem has been the poor performance of two veteran Indian players in Virat Kohli and Mohammed Siraj. Siraj is having a nightmare season whereas Kohli is struggling with poor form. It would be interesting to see if RCB manages to win despite the loopholes in the team.
Gujarat Titans (GT)
Gujarat was the first team to qualify and is set to play the first Qualifier next week which gives them an added advantage of an extra game if they lose Q1. The Hardik-led side is comfortably sitting at the top of the table.
Hence, GT can either rest some key players and give chance to some youngsters or play with the same winning combination in order to prepare for the knockout stage. GT has always found a way to win from unwinnable situations. Hence, you cannot rule out Gujarat from any situation.
WAGING ODDS: RCB (1.95)VS GT (1.87)
GT are the favorites and are priced at 1.87, meaning if you bet ₹100 on them and if they win the match, you’ll be making ₹187.
RCB are close underdogs and are priced at 1.95 meaning if you bet ₹100 on them and if they win the match, you’ll be making ₹195.
Our Prediction:
As it is a do-or-die game for RCB, they are expected to come out hard at the table toppers. Gujarat Titans do not have the same kind of motivation for this game as RCB. Hence, RCB is expected to come out on top and stay alive in this competition.
