Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will be clashing in a must-win encounter at the MCA stadium in Pune. Both teams’ chances of qualifying for the playoffs are still alive but hanging by a thin thread.

With a comprehensive win in the previous game, KKR has kept alive their chances of making it to the Final Four. Although the chances look bleak they are still in the race. However, losing one of their key players, Pat Cummins due to an injury is not ideal for the Knights.

The return of Umesh Yadav is also not been made clear. But the XI played by KKR in the previous game was much better balanced as they brought back their old and trusted players. However, after being in controversy recently, Iyer will have a big role to play today.

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH)

After an amazing start to the season, SRH has suffered a roadblock with back-to-back losses. They have to win every game for hereon to qualify for the playoffs. The Kane-led side is currently on 10 points and has three games left.

The downfall of SRH in the previous few games was due to their ineffective bowling which was their strong point initially in the season. They have been leaking runs consistently due to which their batters have to chase a mammoth target. SRH do not bat deep as they play proper five bowlers with no all-rounders and Washington Sundar is injured.

Our Prediction:

Although SRH has not done well recently, the Kane-led side is expected to come back strong as KKR have a fragile batting lineup which can be exposed by their quality bowling. Hence, SRH is expected to win the game.
