For the first time in IPL’s history, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will clash against Lucknow SuperGiants (LSG) and this encounter will take place at the MCA stadium in Pune. 

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) 

Kolkata has been one of the worst-performing sides of the IPL. And this is after they won 3 out of the first four games. Their team has made an infinite number of changes which meant that they never knew their best XI and never had a settled unit. But a win in their previous game would have given them confidence.

The poor form of their two match-winners Varun and Venky was a big setback for KKR as now they have been dropped from the side. Their batting is a big issue as they continue to have collapsed and lose wickets in bundles. It is to be seen if they play with the same batting order or if they drop Aaron Finch for today’s game.

Lucknow SuperGiants (LSG) 

Unlike KKR, LSG has been one of the consistent sides of this edition. It didn’t look like they were playing their first season. Their success can be credited to the formidable unit they assembled along with their scouts who picked up talented uncapped players like Moshin Khan and Ayush Badoni.

However, skipper KL Rahul would like to have support from other batters and some consistent strong finishes. Otherwise, there are not many holes in the side as they have a deep batting lineup with plenty of bowling options.

LSG has been a consistent side in the IPL. They have the bowling arsenal to knock off the fragile batting lineup of KKR. Hence, LSG is expected to win the game.
