InsideSport has also reported that some of the big names like MS Dhoni (CSK), Gautam Gambhir (Lucknow) are likely to be present at IPL Auction in Bengaluru.

IPL franchises start preparations for Mega Auction

“Mahi is in Chennai for the auction discussions. He is likely to be present for the auction. But it is his call and a call will be made close to the auction,” a CSK team management member told as per InsideSport.

Not only CSK but other teams are also gearing up for the IPL Auction in Bengaluru on 12th and 13th Feb.  Last year finalist Kolkata Knight Riders in-fact have started the Mock Auction Drill and they are also taking suggestions from their fans.

Lucknow Super Giants captain KL Rahul recently himself revealed that he is having long chats with team mentor Gautam Gambhir on the Auction plans.

“I am regularly in touch with Gautam. We speak almost everyday. We are sure on what we will look at the auction. Sir (Sanjeev Goenka, Promoter Lucknow IPL Team) has given us his vision & free hand to build the team. We will make sure fans feel proud of the Lucknow team”,declared KL Rahul in a recent interview.

A total of 590 players will be auctioned at the mega auction ahead of the 15th edition of the Indian Premier League. 1214 had put their names in to be auctioned but following the wish list of the franchises, 10 short of 600 make the final cut. It was also noted that CCI wants Maharashtra to host the cash-rich tournament this year.
