IPL 2021: SRH vs MI Odds, Predictions and Analysis

42

The IPL 2021 season, the 14th edition of the cash-rich cricket league has its 31st match on 4th May when SunRisers Hyderabad will face Mumbai Indians at the Feroz Shah Kotla in Delhi.

SunRisers Hyderabad

With only one win so far, SRH have found themselves in a pile of muck this year and are down at the bottom of the league table.

Their latest defeat against RR on Sunday saw the captaincy debut of Kane Williamson, but in the first innings, the bowlers suffered costly figures to end up with a hefty target of 221.

Hyderabad couldn’t make much difference in the chase as their innings concluded at a score of 165 with only Manish Pandey and Jonny Bairstow touching the 30 run mark.

Full Squad: David Warner, Kane Williamson (c), Jonny Bairstow (wk), Manish Pandey, Sreevats Goswami (wk), Wriddhiman Saha (wk), Priyam Garg, Vijay Shankar, Abhishek Sharma, Abdul Samad, Virat Singh, Jason Roy, Jason Holder, Mohammad Nabi, Rashid Khan, Shahbaz Nadeem, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, T. Natarajan, Sandeep Sharma, Khaleel Ahmed, Siddarth Kaul, Basil Thampi, Jagadeesha Suchith, Kedar Jadhav, Mujeeb-ur-Rahman.

Mumbai Indians

After their usual slow start, MI have started to pick up the pace and are coming off of a stunning chase win against CSK.

Despite the Mumbai bowlers being battered by MS Dhoni and co in the first innings, the target of 219 was nothing out of the stormy MI batting order.

After Rohit Sharma and Quinton de Kock started off with some hits, the blistering 87 off 34 from Kieron Pollard became pivotal behind Mumbai’s success in chasing down the target score.

Full Squad: Rohit Sharma (c), Quinton de Kock (wk), Suryakumar Yadav, Ishan Kishan (wk), Chris Lynn, Anmolpreet Singh, Saurabh Tiwary, Aditya Tare (wk), Kieron Pollard, Hardik Pandya, Krunal Pandya, Anukul Roy, Jasprit Bumrah, Trent Boult, Rahul Chahar, Jayant Yadav, Dhawal Kulkarni, Mohsin Khan, Nathan Coulter Nile, Adam Milne, Piyush Chawla, James Neesham, Yudhvir Charak, Marco Jansen, Arjun Tendulkar.

Waging Odds: SunRisers Hyderabad (2.58) vs Mumbai Indians (1.57)

SRH are the underdogs and are priced at 2.58, meaning if you bet ₹100 on them and if they win the match, you’ll be making ₹258.

MI are priced at 1.57 and are the favourites. Betting ₹100 on them will earn you ₹157 if they come out as winners.

Our Prediction:

With the presence of quick-firing batsmen in their squad, MI is expected to utilise the high scoring Delhi pitch to good use.

SRH has been mostly lacklustre when chasing down big targets and while the bowlers may bring some counterattack, the match looks like another easy pick for the defending champions.

Mumbai Indians will win the match.
