Royal Challengers Bangalore(RCB) are set to take on Mumbai Indians(MI) in the second match of the doubleheader of IPL 2021 on Sunday, 26th September, at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai.
Royal Challengers Bangalore:
RCB are heading to the game after a six-wicket defeat to CSK. They are currently in the middle of the points table with five wins from nine games but has a poor NRR.
RCB got a great start against CSK but their momentum dipped in the second half of their innings and eventually relinquished the match against MS Dhoni-led CSK. RCB are also yet to decide on an overseas player combination. They have Tim David, Kyle Jamieson, Wanindu Hasaranga and Daniel Christian to claim their spots in the playing XI.
Mumbai Indians:
On the other hand MI were destroyed by KKR as they lost the game by seven wickets, with 29 balls to spare. MI have tallied four wins from nine games and have risks of not qualifying for the playoffs this season.
The opening batting combination Suryakumar Yadav and Ishan Kishan haven’t been sparked the fire this season, and they’ll be under pressure. However they have deadly bowling attack which will also look to make a comeback in the match against RCB.
Waging Odds: Royal Challengers Bangalore (2.05) vs Mumbai Indians(1.72)
MI are the favourites and are priced at 1.72 meaning if you bet ₹100 on them and if they win the match, you’ll be making ₹172.
RCB are priced at 2.05 and are the underdogs. Betting ₹100 on them will earn you ₹205 if they come out as winners.
Our Prediction:
Though both the teams have suffered disappointing losses in their previous outings, MI looks the more settled of the two sides coming into this match. They are likely to get the edge against RCB. MI would be eyeing to utilize their lethal bowling line-up while RCB would be trying to gain their momentum with batting.
MI will win the match.
