IPL 2021: MI vs DC Odds, Predictions and Analysis

Mumbai Indians (MI) are set to take on the Delhi Capitals (DC) in the first match of the IPL 2021 double-header at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Saturday.

Mumbai Indians:

MI finally got a win after being on a losing streak in the UAE by beating the Punjab Kings in their last match. MI displayed an outstanding bowling performance against PBKS. MI skipper Rohit Sharma had opted to bowl. Saurabh Tiwary replaced Ishan Kishan at No.4 and played a great knock.

MI restricted PBKS to 135/6 but with the bat, they lost early wickets. Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav both fell to Ravi Bishnoi as PBKS put pressure. However, Saurabh Tiwary played a responsible innings while Hardik Pandya and Kieron Pollard then joined forces to finish the match off with a win.

Delhi Capitals:

DC on the other hand suffered a disappointing loss against KKR in their previous outing at Sharjah, with Prithvi Shaw missing out due to an injury.

KKR had restricted DC to a decent score. Rishabh Pant stayed at the crease but the wickets kept falling at the other end as DC only managed 127/9. While they stood a chance with the ball at one point, Lalit Yadav and Kagiso Rabada gave away many runs causing the match get away from their control and eventually suffered a loss.

Waging Odds: Mumbai Indians (1.72) vs Delhi Capitals (2.10)

MI are the favourites and are priced at 1.72 meaning if you bet ₹100 on them and if they win the match, you’ll be making ₹172.

DC are priced at 2.10 and are the underdogs. Betting ₹100 on them will earn you ₹210 if they come out as winners.

Our Prediction:

MI have a strong middle order which helps them garner more runs. While DC’s team balance looks off and Marcus Stoinis also won’t be at service. They also don’t have the batting depth which is required. A win for MI is expected if they are able to pick up early wickets.

MI will win the match.
