The IPL 2021 season, the 14th edition of the cash-rich cricket league has its 12th matchday on 19th April when Chennai Super Kings will take on Rajasthan Royals at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

Chennai Super Kings

After losing to Delhi Capitals in their campaign opener, CSK bounced back hard against Punjab Kings. The KL Rahul-led cavalry, which clocked a whopping 221 runs in the game before, was reduced to 106 runs against the strong CSK bowling lineup.

Deepak Chahar stole the show with quadruple wickets with a 3.25 economy rate, added with brilliant figures from the likes of Jadeja, Curran and others. The easy target was a piece of cake for the unbeaten Faf du Plessis (36) and Moeen Ali (46) as CSK took home a victory in the 16th over.

Full Squad: Ruturaj Gaikwad, Ambati Rayudu, Faf du Plessis, Suresh Raina, MS Dhoni (c/wk), Moeen Ali, Ravindra Jadeja, Sam Curran, Dwayne Bravo, Shardul Thakur, Deepak Chahar, Robin Uthappa, Imran Tahir, Cheteshwar Pujara, Karn Sharma, Jason Behrendorff, Krishnappa Gowtham, Bhagath Varma, Harishankar Reddy, KM Asif, N Jagadeesan, Hari Nishanth, Ravisrinivasan Sai Kishore, Mitchell Santner, Lungi Ngidi.

Rajasthan Royals

Rajasthan Royals were the victims of the batter from PBKS in their first game but turned things around as they faced Delhi Capitals next. Jaydev Unadkat’s triple strikes, added with double scalps from Mustafizur Rahman got DC held off at a target under 150, but the RR batting squad did not have a good time chasing down the comfortable target.

Losing their first four batsmen with single-digit scores, it was David Miller’s 62-off-43 that redeemed RR’s second innings, added with some heavy hits by Chris Morris at the end which got Rajasthan reaching their target in the final over.

Full Squad: Sanju Samson (c), Ben Stokes, Jofra Archer, Jos Buttler, Riyan Parag, Shreyas Gopal, Rahul Tewatia, Mahipal Lomror, Kartik Tyagi, Andrew Tye, Jaydev Unadkat, Mayank Markande, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Anuj Rawat, David Miller, Manan Vohra, Christopher Morris, Shivam Dube, Chetan Sakariya, Mustafizur Rahman, Liam Livingstone, K.C. Cariappa, Akash Singh, Kuldip Yadav.

Waging Odds: Chennai Super Kings (1.86) vs Rajasthan Royals (2.05)

Chennai Super Kings are priced at 1.86 and are the favourites. Betting ₹100 on them will earn you ₹186 if they come out as winners.

Rajasthan Royals are the underdogs and are priced at 2.05, meaning if you bet ₹100 on them and if they win the match, you’ll be making ₹205.

Our Prediction:

Chennai’s bowling, led by Chahar can cause problems to RR’s scoring capabilities and their batting order will be looking forward to big knocks from their skipper Sanju Samson as well as Jos Buttler.

The Wankhede pitch has been favoring the bowlers in recent times and CSK, added in with some impressive batting, will have the odds on their side this time.

Chennai Super Kings will win the match.
