The recent COVID cases in the Chennai Super Kings contingent was another blow for the governing council before releasing the schedule. However, all 13 cases from the four time winners have now reported negative.

The schedule was supposed to be released by Friday, as BCCI president Sourav Ganguly had said earlier this week. “We understand schedules are delayed. It is almost on the verge of getting final and should be released by Friday,” Ganguly said. However, it got delayed once again by another couple of days.

On the onset of the novel Coronavirus pandemic, IPL was postponed from its usual March to May schedule for the first time in its history. After months of uncertainty if the cash rich league would even be possible in such crisis, BCCI had announced that the tournament was going to take place between 19th September to 10th November.

Due to the rising no of COVID-19 cases in India, the 13th edition of IPL was also shifted to United Arab Emirates, its second overseas venue since 2009, when it was hosted in South Africa. All teams will adhere to the strict SOP guidelines prepared by BCCI for the duration of the tournament. Check out waging options for IPL and other tournaments here.
