The IPL 2020 season, the 13th edition of the cash-rich cricket league has its fourth matchday on 22nd September when Rajasthan Royals will face Chennai Super Kings at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium.

Rajasthan Royals
The champions of the inaugural 2009 IPL tournament, Rajasthan Royals never tasted the silverware since then. Coached by Andrew McDonald, RR has the sensational Steve Smith leading at the front.
Although the skipper has received concussion clearance and is likely to start tomorrow, the absence of Ben Stokes for tomorrow’s match is a big blow for RR. Both Jos Buttler and Jofra Archer have cleared their COVID tests and are available tomorrow thanks to a reduced quarantine period of 36 hours. Tom Curran and Jaydev Unadkat will join up with Jamaican youngster Oshane Thomas and young Men in Blue spinner Mayank Markande for bowling duties.
Full Squad: Steve Smith (c), Jofra Archer, David Miller, Robin Uthappa (wk), Ben Stokes, Riyan Parag, Sanju Samson (wk), Jos Buttler (wk), Mayank Markande, Mahipal Lomror, Manan Vohra, Varun Aaron, Jaydev Unadkat, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Aniruddha Joshi, Andrew Tye, Tom Curran, Oshane Thomas, Anuj Rawat, Shreyas Gopal, Shashank Singh, Rahul Tewatia, Ankit Rajpoot, Kartik Tyagi, Akash Singh.
Chennai Super Kings
Chennai Super Kings started their IPL 2020 campaign with a superb victory over defending champions Mumbai Indians on 19th September. The opening match saw the batting prowess of Ambati Rayudu and Faf du Plessis, both of whom scored half-centuries last Saturday.
The in-form Lungi Ngidi picked triple scalps and will be effective against the opposition batting squad together with Sam Curran and Deepak Chahar, as the three-time champions will aim to secure their second victory tomorrow.
Full Squad: KM Asif, Dwayne Bravo, Deepak Chahar, Piyush Chawla, Sam Curran, MS Dhoni (c & wk), Faf du Plessis, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Josh Hazlewood, Imran Tahir, Ravindra Jadeja, Kedar Jadhav, Narayan Jagadeesan (wk), Monu Kumar, Lungi Ngidi, Ambati Rayudu, Ravisrinivasan Sai Kishore, Mitchell Santner, Karn Sharma, Shardul Thakur, Murali Vijay, Shane Watson.
Waging odds: Rajasthan Royals (2.05) vs Chennai Super Kings (1.72)
Rajasthan Royals are the waging underdogs and are priced at 2.05, meaning if you bet ₹100 on them and if they win tomorrow, you’ll be making a clean ₹200.
Chennai Super Kings are priced at 1.72 and are the favourites. Betting ₹100 on them will earn you ₹172 if they snatch a victory tomorrow.
Our prediction:
Both teams have gone head to head 21 times in IPL, and CSK has been the dominant team, having victorious in 14 bouts, compared to RR in only 7. Rajasthan has won six out of 10 opening matches in IPL and will aim to pick their first two points of IPL 2020 tomorrow. On the other hand, having defeated MI in the season opener, CSK has that much-needed confidence ahead of the clash.
The biggest weak point for Rajasthan tomorrow is of course the absence of Ben Stokes. Although, the potential return of Smith, Archer and Buttler is a plus point for them. On the other hand, CSK has the in-form Rayudu and de Plessis, possibly aiming to put up fireworks again, with Ndigi and Sam Curran aiming to restrict the opposition batsmen. It will be a victory for Chennai Super Kings.
