Delhi Capitals

DC lost Qualifier 1 against MI, failing to chase down a mammoth target of 201 with a quick diminishing of their top batting order as Shaw, Dhawan and Rahane all ducked. Stoinis (65) and Axar Patel (42) put up some runs on the scoreboard. In bowling, Ashwin picked three, with one from Stoinis and Nortje each, while the rest of the bowlers were costly.

Full Squad: Shreyas Iyer (c), Ravichandran Ashwin, Prithvi Shaw, Shikhar Dhawan, Ajinkya Rahane, Rishabh Pant (wk), Shimron Hetmyer, Marcus Stoinis, Daniel Sams, Lalit Yadav, Keemo Paul, Alex Carey (wk), Amit Mishra, Sandeep Lamichhane, Axar Patel, Kagiso Rabada, Avesh Khan, Harshal Patel, Ishant Sharma, Mohit Sharma, Tushar Deshpande, Anrich Nortje.

Sunrisers Hyderabad

SRH played out RCB in the Eliminator to get one step closer to playing the final. Their bowlers did a marvellous job of restricting the RCB batting squad to 131, as Jason Holder and Natarajan picked three and two scalps respectively while going without a wicket, Rashid Khan and Sandeep Sharma landed brilliant economy rate. A slow and steady chase including a fifty from Kane Williamson landed SRH into the next step of the playoff phase.

Full Squad: David Warner (c), Rashid Khan, Sanjay Yadav, Wriddhiman Saha (wk), Khaleel Ahmed, Sandeep Sharma, Jason Holder, Abdul Samad, Shreevats Goswami (wk), Mohammad Nabi, Fabian Allen, Abhishek Sharma, Basil Thampi, Billy Stanlake, Sandeep Bavanaka, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Virat Singh, T Natarajan, Kane Williamson, Shahbaz Nadeem, Jonny Bairstow (wk), Manish Pandey, Vijay Shankar, Siddarth Kaul, Priyam Garg.

Waging odds: Delhi Capitals (1.95) vs Sunrisers Hyderabad (1.72)

Delhi Capitals are priced at 1.95 and are the underdogs. Betting ₹100 on them will earn you ₹195 if they come out as winners.

Sunrisers Hyderabad are the favourites and are priced at 1.72, meaning if you bet ₹100 on them and if they win the match, you’ll be making ₹172.

Our prediction:

SRH has won on both occasions against DC in the current IPL. They have been performing substantially in their recent games and after two years have the chance to reach the final once again. DC, having sustained a lacklustre bowling performance in the 1st qualifier, still get another chance to head into their 1st IPL final ever.

Sunrisers Hyderabad are likely to win the match.
