Sunrisers Hyderabad

The winners of the 2016 IPL season, Sunrisers Hyderabad finished 4th last year. Coached by Trevor Bayliss, SRH’s batting squad has the names such as Manish Pandey, Kane Williamson, Jonny Bairstow and of course their skipper David Warner.

SRH has the presence of Jamaican all-rounder Fabian Allen in the team. Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Khaleel Ahmed join up with Afghan spinner duo Mohammad Nabi and Rashid Khan for the bowling squad.

Full Squad: David Warner (c), Rashid Khan, Sanjay Yadav, Wriddhiman Saha (wk), Khaleel Ahmed, Sandeep Sharma, Abdul Samad, Mitchell Marsh, Shreevats Goswami (wk), Mohammad Nabi, Fabian Allen, Abhishek Sharma, Basil Thampi, Billy Stanlake, Sandeep Bavanaka, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Virat Singh, T Natarajan, Kane Williamson, Shahbaz Nadeem, Jonny Bairstow (wk), Manish Pandey, Vijay Shankar, Siddarth Kaul, Priyam Garg.

Royal Challengers Bangalore

Led by Men in Blue skipper Virat Kohli himself, Royal Challengers Bangalore, unfortunately, have not tasted the IPL silverware till date. Despite having a star-studded lineup, they finished at the bottom of the table after a devastating performance last year.

With Simon Katich at the helm, Kohli teams up with AB de Villiers for the batting squad, along with Aaron Finch and Parthiv Patel. Shivam Dube and Moeen Ali are their all-rounding options. Yuzvendra Chahal graces the bowling squad along with Dale Steyn, Adam Zampa and Umesh Yadav.

Full Squad: Virat Kohli (c), Parthiv Patel (wk), AB de Villiers, Chris Morris, Yuzvendra Chahal, Shivam Dubey, Aaron Finch, Umesh Yadav, Adam Zampa, Washington Sundar, Navdeep Saini, Mohammed Siraj, Dale Steyn, Moeen Ali, Pawan Negi, Gurkeerat Mann Singh, Isuru Udana, Devdutt Padikkal, Shahbaz Ahamad, Joshua Philippe (wk), Pavan Deshpande.

Waging odds: Sunrisers Hyderabad (1.61) vs Royal Challengers Bangalore (2.20)

Sunrisers Hyderabad are the waging favourites and are priced at 1.61, meaning if you bet ₹100 on them and if they snatch a victory, you’ll be making ₹161.

Royal Challengers Bangalore are priced at 2.20 and are the underdogs. Betting ₹100 on them will earn you ₹220 if they win tomorrow’s match.

Our prediction:

Both teams have faced each other 15 times in IPL, in which SRH have been victorious 8 times, and RCB 6 times. SRH have some confidence boost from making it to the qualifiers last season. Considering their poor performance in IPL 2019, RCB will aim to make it better this time.

SRH have the destructive Warner leading up front, along with Williamson and Pandey for making big scores. In addition to that, the chemistry of Nabi and Khan links up with Bhuvi to give RCB batsmen a challenge.

However, even though RCB  are the underdogs, the Kohli and ABD link-up can easily overpower their opposition bowlers. Moeen Ali’s experience will prove vital, along with the charismatic Chahal teaming up with speedsters Yadav and Steyn giving a tough time to SRH batsmen, and Royal Challengers Bangalore will surprise tomorrow and win their first game.
