The IPL 2020 season, the 13th edition of the cash-rich cricket league match has its second matchday on 20th September, when Delhi Capitals will take on Kings XI Punjab at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai.
Formerly known as Delhi Daredevils, Delhi Capitals finished third in the 2019 IPL season and made it to the playoffs after seven years.
Coached by former Aussie captain Ricky Ponting, the DC squad is graced by the run machines such as Shikhar Dhawan, Prithvi Shaw, Ajinkya Rahane and the captain Shreyas Iyer.
Marcus Stoinis joins Keemo Paul for all-rounding duties. Ravichandran Ashwin leads the bowling squad along with Ishant Sharma, Kagiso Rabada and the youngster Sandeep Lamichhane.

Kings XI Punjab
Kings XI Punjab failed to make it to the playoffs after finishing sixth in the points table last year. Their best performance was back in IPL 2014 when they finished as the runner up.
With former legendary leg spinner Anil Kumble at the helm, KXIP has the spectacular KL Rahul as the wicketkeeper-captain, along with Chris Gayle, Mayank Agarwal and Karun Nair for the batting squad and the presence of all-rounders like Glenn Maxwell and James Neesham.
Mohammed Shami and Mujeeb Ur Rahman grace their bowling squad along with Chris Jordan, Hardus Viljoen and Sheldon Cottrell.
Full squad: KL Rahul (c & wk), Mohammed Shami, Karun Nair, Chris Gayle, Mayank Agarwal, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Mandeep Singh, Sarfaraz Khan, Nicholas Pooran (wk), Deepak Hooda, Glenn Maxwell, Chris Jordan, James Neesham, Tajinder Singh, Prabhsimran Singh (wk), Murugan Ashwin, Harpreet Brar, Krishnappa Gowtham, Jagadeesha Suchith, Ravi Bishnoi, Hardus Viljoen, Darshan Nalkande, Arshdeep Singh, Sheldon Cottrell, Ishan Porel.
Waging odds: Delhi Capitals (1.61) vs Kings XI Punjab (2.20)
Delhi Capitals are the waging favourites and are priced at 1.61, meaning if you bet ₹100 on them and if they snatch a victory, you’ll be making ₹161.
Kings XI Punjab are priced at 2.20 and are the underdogs. Betting ₹100 on them will earn you ₹220 if they win tomorrow’s match.
Both teams have gone head to head 24 times in IPL, where Punjab keeps the upper hand with 14 wins, compared to Delhi’s 10. However, the latter made it to the playoffs in 2019, which will work as a confidence booster for them.
Punjab has been lacklustre in the past seasons, repeatedly failing to make past the group stage. Even with the likes of KL Rahul, Gayle, Maxwell and Shami, they need to play their cards right if they want to give Delhi a proper challenge in their IPL 2020 opener.
Coming off as 3rd last season, Delhi has the spectacular Shreyas Iyer at the front, along with Dhawan, Stoinis, Ashwin and Ishant at their disposal, and Delhi Capitals will come out as winners.
