Chennai Super Kings

CSK came full circle in their performance and snatched a whopping 8-wicket victory against RCB last Sunday. A mesmerising triple strike from Sam Curran, along with the help of Mitchell Santner and Deepak Chahar helped CSK bind RCB at 145 runs, which was an easy task for Ruturaj Gaikwad with his unbeaten 65-off-51 and some hits from du Plessis and Rayudu, with MS Dhoni assisting at the dead overs.

Full Squad: KM Asif, Deepak Chahar, Piyush Chawla, Sam Curran, MS Dhoni (c & wk), Faf du Plessis, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Josh Hazlewood, Imran Tahir, Ravindra Jadeja, Kedar Jadhav, Narayan Jagadeesan (wk), Monu Kumar, Lungi Ngidi, Ambati Rayudu, Ravisrinivasan Sai Kishore, Mitchell Santner, Karn Sharma, Shardul Thakur, Murali Vijay, Shane Watson.

Kolkata Knight Riders

A fifty from Gill and a quick 25-ball-40 from the skipper Eoin Morgan did not suffice KKR’s total against KXIP on Monday as the rest of the batting order stalled once again to see them reaching 149 runs. Despite efforts from the bowling squad in defending the total, the KXIP batting order overpowered KKR bowlers as they reached the target with 8 wickets in hand.

Full Squad: Eoin Morgan (c), Andre Russell, Dinesh Karthik (wk), Kuldeep Yadav, Lockie Ferguson, Nitish Rana, Prasidh Krishna, Rinku Singh, Sandeep Warrier, Shivam Mavi, Kamlesh Nagarkoti, Shubman Gill, Siddhesh Lad, Sunil Narine, Pat Cummins, Varun Chakravarti, Tom Banton (wk), Rahul Tripathi, Chris Green, Nikhil Naik (wk), Pravin Tambe, M Siddharth.

Waging odds: Chennai Super Kings (2.10) vs Kolkata Knight Riders (1.66)

Chennai Super Kings are priced at 2.10 and are the underdogs. Betting ₹100 on them will earn you ₹210 if they come out as winners.

Kolkata Knight Riders are the favourites and are priced at 1.66, meaning if you bet ₹100 on them and if they win the match, you’ll be making ₹166.

Our prediction:

In their previous faceoff in the current IPL, KKR dominated with a whopping 10 wicket victory. Although CSK showed amazing an amazing batting performance in their last game, securing a playoff place is now impossible for them. However, KKR has registered six wins so far and must win both of their remaining games to increase their chances into the playoffs so a tough fight is expected from them.

Kolkata Knight Riders are likely to win the match.
