Chennai Super Kings

Even though they opened up their IPL 2020 campaign with a win over the defending champions, Chennai Super Kings have been lacklustre in their two previous matches and lost both of them.

Economical bowling was seen from Sam Curran, while Piyush Chawla picked two scalps in their last games against DC. However, the CSK batting squad, except Faf du Plessis, struggled with the bat, failing to put up substantial scores as they lost the match by 44 runs.

Full Squad: KM Asif, Dwayne Bravo, Deepak Chahar, Piyush Chawla, Sam Curran, MS Dhoni (c & wk), Faf du Plessis, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Josh Hazlewood, Imran Tahir, Ravindra Jadeja, Kedar Jadhav, Narayan Jagadeesan (wk), Monu Kumar, Lungi Ngidi, Ambati Rayudu, Ravisrinivasan Sai Kishore, Mitchell Santner, Karn Sharma, Shardul Thakur, Murali Vijay, Shane Watson.

Sunrisers Hyderabad

After two back to back losses, Sunrisers registered their first victory of IPL 2020 against DC on Tuesday. The opening duo of Jonny Bairstow and the skipper David Warner landed impressive knocks, with the former scoring a half-century.

The return of Kane Williamson has been a plus point for the team, the Kiwi captain struck a blistering 26-ball-41 in the last match. Rashid Khan shines in the bowling department with picking three scalps against DC on a stunning 3.50 economy rate. Bhuvi and Natarajan also landed impressive figures.

Full Squad: David Warner (c), Rashid Khan, Sanjay Yadav, Wriddhiman Saha (wk), Khaleel Ahmed, Sandeep Sharma, Abdul Samad, Mitchell Marsh, Shreevats Goswami (wk), Mohammad Nabi, Fabian Allen, Abhishek Sharma, Basil Thampi, Billy Stanlake, Sandeep Bavanaka, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Virat Singh, T Natarajan, Kane Williamson, Shahbaz Nadeem, Jonny Bairstow (wk), Manish Pandey, Vijay Shankar, Siddarth Kaul, Priyam Garg.

Waging odds: Chennai Super Kings (1.80) vs Sunrisers Hyderabad (1.95)

Chennai Super Kings are the favourites and are priced at 1.61, meaning if you bet ₹100 on them and if they win the match, you’ll be making ₹161.

Sunrisers Hyderabad are priced at 1.95 and are the underdogs. Betting ₹100 on them will earn you ₹195 if they snatch a victory tomorrow.

Our prediction:

Coming off with their first victory in the last game, SRH will be full of confidence to secure their second win. With Williamson back in the squad to support Warner and Bairstow, SRH can expect to put up substantial scores, along with the in-form Rashid Khan leading the bowling squad to restrict the opposition batting.

While CSK haven’t been impressive in their last two games, the one week of rest since their last match can prove to be useful, as the Dhoni-led squad will attempt to bounce back hard to secure their second victory. Chennai Super Kings will come out as winners.
