13th edition of Indian Premier League (IPL) which was earlier scheduled to take place in March but couldn’t be hosted owing to the COVID-19, is all set to be played in the UAE from September 19 across three venues whereas the league will conclude on November 10. Heading to the league, all the franchises have increased their security level and took their precautionary measures to another level and Mumbai Indians is one of them.

They are the defending champions and also the most successful franchise in the history of Indian Premier League (IPL) with four IPL titles. Recently, Mumbai Indians’ official social media handle has given fans a virtual tour of the franchise’s team room in Abu Dhabi – where they are based in now. Meanwhile, the team’s former cricketer and Director of Cricket Operations, Zaheer Khan has hosted the tour as well.

Like other franchises, Mumbai Indians has created a lavish 15000 sq.ft room for team bonding prior to the cash-rich league which left fans amazed. The room is nothing but a grand place for chill out, relax and having every facility as well. From captain Rohit Sharma to all-rounder Hardik Pandya all have started exploring their new home which has game zone too.

The entire team place has been decorated in blue and gold which are the jersey colour of Mumbai Indians as well. Their new hangout place has a royal touch in every corner. They have sung in the karaoke Jam and bonded well with one another ahead of the IPL season.

“Well, we always focus the team room for sure because this is where a lot of bonding happens. Players spend a lot of time here, so it’s with a view that it’s going to be three months. It’s going to be a long time, and all the families and players can get together. So this is going to be, pretty much, our zone,” said Zaheer Khan in the video posted on the official Twitter handle of Mumbai Indians.

“One of the biggest missing factors is going to be out ‘Paltan’ cheering us from the stadium. So we just wanted to have a message conveyed to our players as well as our whole squad, the support staff that no matter where you are the ‘Paltan’ is always going to be there. And you can see it with this wall here dedicated purely for our fans and for the players to know that their support in our victories and ups and downs, is always there,” he further added.

The teams have reached the UAE last month and had started their first training session last week. Meanwhile, the defending champions will face Chennai Super Kings in the first game of the tournament on September 19. Click here to bet on cricket events.
