Royal Challengers Bangalore

Coming off of a nail-biting super over victory against defending champions Mumbai Indians on Monday, Royal Challengers Bangalore has seen substantial batting performance from its opening duo of Devdutt  Padikkal and Aaron Finch along with the destructive ABD all landed half-centuries in the last match.

While the skipper Virat Kohli himself has been lacklustre with the bat, the RCB bowling squad has seen the exceptional performance from Washinton Sundar, who had a whopping 3.00 economy rate against MI, although Chahal, Zampa and Saini had economy rates over 10.

Full Squad: Virat Kohli (c), Parthiv Patel (wk), AB de Villiers, Chris Morris, Yuzvendra Chahal, Shivam Dubey, Aaron Finch, Umesh Yadav, Adam Zampa, Washington Sundar, Navdeep Saini, Mohammed Siraj, Dale Steyn, Moeen Ali, Pawan Negi, Gurkeerat Mann Singh, Isuru Udana, Devdutt Padikkal, Shahbaz Ahamad, Joshua Philippe (wk), Pavan Deshpande.

Rajasthan Royals

After back to back double century scores in their first 2 IPL 2020 games, the Rajasthan Royals batting lineup became significantly bland against Kolkata Knight Riders, except a surprising fifty from Tom Curran and some quick hits from opener Jos Buttler.

Jofra Archer landed a 4.50 economy rate in bowling along with picking two scalps, while Tewatia, Unadkat picked one wicket each, including Curran who was the only hard hitter during the chase.

Full Squad: Steve Smith (c), Jofra Archer, David Miller, Robin Uthappa (wk), Ben Stokes, Riyan Parag, Sanju Samson (wk), Jos Buttler (wk), Mayank Markande, Mahipal Lomror, Manan Vohra, Varun Aaron, Jaydev Unadkat, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Aniruddha Joshi, Andrew Tye, Tom Curran, Oshane Thomas, Anuj Rawat, Shreyas Gopal, Shashank Singh, Rahul Tewatia, Ankit Rajpoot, Kartik Tyagi, Akash Singh.

Waging odds: Royal Challengers Bangalore (1.80) vs Rajasthan Royals (1.95)

Royal Challengers Bangalore are the favourites and are priced at 1.80, meaning if you bet ₹100 on them and if they win the match, you’ll be making ₹180.

Rajasthan Royals are priced at 1.95 and are the underdogs. Betting ₹100 on them will earn you ₹195 if they come out as winners.

Our prediction:

With a win over Mumbai, RCB will be full of confidence going into their next match. The Padikkal-Finch opening duo is in form, plus the middle order has the dependable ABD. However, Kohli needs to put up substantial knocks if they want to counter the scores Rajasthan can pull off.

Having said that, the RCB bowling squad needs more economical figures to counter the Rajasthan batting squad that has shown its destructiveness in the earlier games. A sudden drop in batting performance against KKR will make RR aim for another 200+ score, while Archer, Tewatia and rest of the bowling squad can restrict the RCB batting order with good figures. Rajasthan Royals will pull off a victory.
