Fifties by Shikhar Dhawan and Rishabh Pant helped the visitors chase a steep total and get to the top of the table in the process.

A sublime century by Ajinkya Rahane was not enough to keep the Delhi Capitals on the bay as the Capitals scaled down the total.
Batting first, the Royals suffered an early blow as Sanju Samson was back in the hut after being run out. Skipper Steve Smith joined Rahane at the crease in a bid to rebuild the innings.
The duo stitched a franchise record stan of 130 before Smith got dismissed for 50. Rahane went on to continue and scored his 2nd IPL hundred in the process. Disciplined death bowling by the Capitals led by Kagiso Rabada saw the hosts succumb to a total of 191-6.
Middle order faltered for RR once again with Ashton Turner getting dismissed for his third consecutive duck.
The chase began on a very bright note for the visitors. Shikhar Dhawan continued his fine run as of late while Shaw struggled at the other end. The flamboyant left-hander scored a swift 54 off 27. Shreyas Iyer’s quick dismissal jolted the side a bit, but Rishabh Pant turned the innings on its head by giving the selectors a wake-up call.
The southpaw hit an unbeaten 78 off 36 balls to propel DC over to the winning side and the top of the table as well.
