IPL 2019: A record King Kohli will not be proud of

196

Virat Kohli who has a penchant of making and breaking various records irrespective of the format, would not be necessarily proud of a list that he has surprisingly topped in this season of the IPL. The recorded in contention here is that Kohli has dropped the most number of catches this season.

The Indian team captain undoubtedly is one of the better fielders of the world, however, in this IPL he has managed to grab only two catches out of the six catches that have come his way. Kohli’s conversion rate of a catch is as low as 33%. Out of the two catches that he has managed to grab, only one of them he has grabbed in a single attempt.

The Bangalore team who are placed at the bottom of the table have their fielding to blame for their dismal performance this season. They seem to have a tendency wherein they somehow manage to drop the chances that come their way.

Kohli who generally leads by an example probably has set a wrong one this time around and surprisingly the Royal Challengers Unit are also taking inspiration from their skipper on this one too.

With the side coming back on track at the nick of time they need to fix their fielding woes as soon as possible to make the most of the opportunities that come if they want to get into the top four.
