Chennai Super Kings take on Kolkata Knight Riders in tonight’s IPL encounter at Chepauk. CSK’s bowlers will need to be on target if they are to get the better of Russell and company.

Despite beating Punjab on Saturday, CSK still feel that they have lots to ponder. Death bowling still remains a concern for the boys in yellow following Bravo’s absence due to injury.

Even though they got away against Punjab, it was evident that they lacked a certain fire power at the death. So the first thing that CSK will look to address heading into the game is their bowling attack.

KKR on the other hand will arrive high on confidence after a superb all round performance that saw them beat RR on Sunday. The win also saw them see off their opponents without needing the services of Russell.

Thus a relatively fresh Russell, who didn’t have much to do on Sunday will await eagerly to take on the fringe CSK attack.

Team News:

The hosts sorted out their batting order as Faf du Plessis’ inclusion saw them solve their opening problems.

Despite having a relatively poor pace attack, they will stick with the same combination.

Probable XI: Faf du Plessis, Shane Watson, Suresh Raina, Ambati Rayudu, MS Dhoni (c, wk), Kedar Jadhav, Ravindra Jadeja, Deepak Chahar, Scott Kuggeleijn, Harbhajan Singh, Imran Tahir.
KKR too have no reason to change their eleven after putting up a solid display vs RR. Also with them already fielding 3 spinners, it will help their cause on the slow Chepauk wicket that will be in display.

Probable XI: Chris Lynn, Sunil Narine, Robin Uthappa, Nitish Rana, Dinesh Karthik (c, wk), Shubman Gill, Andre Russell, Piyush Chawla, Kuldeep Yadav, Harry Gurney, Prasidh Krishna.
